2009-2010 Color Guard

Congratulations to the 2009-2010 Color Guard!! Please don't forget Pre-Camp which will be June 1 and 2 from 6:00-8:00. We will be getting measurements for guard uniforms at this time. If you have any questions, please see Mr. White or Mr. Daniel.

Pre-Band Camp

Pre-Band Camp will be June 1st and 2nd at Alexander High School from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM. Any student who wishes to participate in the band or colorguard for the 2009-2010 season should plan to attend. If you have any questions contact Mr. White or Mr. Daniel.

PA Awards Banquet/Cast Party

The Performing Arts Department will be hosting an awards banquet and musical cast/crew party on Thursday, May 21. It will be from 7 PM - 11 PM at The Centre on Douglas Boulevard. The cost will be $5.00 for musical cast, stage crew, and chorus students and $12.00 for all others who wish to attend. There will be a meal provided by Sam and Roscoes as well as a DJ, Karaoke, and a dance floor. If you have any questions please contact Ms. Killian.

Fine Arts Department Events

The Alexander Fine Arts Department has a few more events before the end of the year. Please mark your calendars and plan to attend!

Color Guard Clinic

The Alexander High School Band will hold a clinic for all students interested in becoming members of the Alexander High School Colorguard / Auxiliary unit beginning Monday April 27th at 6:00 PM in the Alexander High School Band Room. Positions are open to all students that will be enrolled at Alexander High during the 2009-2010 school year.

The Alexander Auxiliary Corp is looking for members for the Flag, Dance and Weapon lines. All members will learn Flag during the Clinic. The AHS Colorguard performs with the band at all Football games and at Band Festivals during the fall. The Guard also travels with the band on band trips. No prior experience is required to audition for the guard.

Leadership and Drum Major Clinic

The Alexander Marching Band will host a clinic for all returning students who are interested in any leadership position for the 2009 season. It will be held at AHS on May 11-15 from 4:00-6:00.

Anyone interested in trying out for drum major should plan to attend the leadership clinic as well as the drum major clinic which will be held on May 18-22 from 4:00-6:00.

Drum major auditions will be on May 26 beginning at 4:00.
