Congratulations!

Congratulations to the band and guard members for getting all superior ratings at the Yellow Jacket Classic! In addition to that, they are the first group at AHS to receive the Ronnie White Memorial Showmanship Award for most entertaining performance in the festival portion of the day. Congratulations and keep working to be the best that you can!!!

2008 Yellow Jacket Classic Marching Festival

Rockmart, GA

Band and Guard report to band room – 11:00 AM
Depart – 11:30 AM
Arrive – 12:30 PM
Warm-up – 1:30 PM
Performance – 2:20 PM
Awards – 8:00 PM
Bus returns to AHS approx – 9:30 PM - 10:00 PM


What to bring:

Items needed for performance
Sun Screen
Change of clothes
Money for food, pictures, etc. Concessions will be available at the festival. We will be eating at the festival.


Directions to Rockmart High School

I-20 W to Exit 24 (Hwy 61/Hwy 101N)
Turn Right off of interstate and go to three way stop
Turn Left at the three way stop and follow Hwy 101N to Hwy 278
Turn Left onto Hwy 278 and follow it to Hwy 113 (Cartersville Hwy)
Turn Right onto Hwy 113 and follow it 0.7 mi

AHS vs. Mays

Report time for Friday night's game vs. Mays is 5:45. Students should be on the buses by 6:30. Don't forget black socks, your band t-shirt, and your shoes. Guard members remember your uniform. We will be playing Mays HS at Lakewood Stadium.
