2012 Golden River Marching Festival

Band and Guard report to band room – 8:00 AM
Depart – 8:20 AM
Arrive – 9:20 AM
Warm-up – 10:20 AM
Performance – 11:20 AM
Awards – 9:30 PM
Bus returns to AHS approx – 11:30 PM
Please note: If there is enough interest there may be a bus available to bring students back early. Students will have the opportunity to sign up to come home early during the week. Students should sign-up no later than Friday morning if they intend to return early. If enough students sign-up the early bus will arrive back at Alexander at approximately 2:30 PM. Please make sure students have a ride ready at AHS at that time.
If you are leaving early with a parent, we must have a note and it should be turned in by Friday, October 19.
What to bring:
- Items needed for performance
- Sun Screen
- This year’s band t-shirt
- Change of clothes
- Warm clothing (preferably layers: the afternoon is supposed to be warm, and the evening is supposed to be cool)
- Money for food, pictures, etc. Concessions will be available at the festival. We will be eating two meals at the festival
Directions to Golden River Festival:
I-20 W to Exit 11 (US Hwy 27 North)
Go to the traffic light at Hwy 120, turn left on Hwy 120 West
Travel through 1 traffic light
Haralson Co. High will be on the left (after you pass the middle school) about six miles from the last traffic light.
