{"id":1212,"date":"2021-08-25T13:52:03","date_gmt":"2021-08-25T18:52:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/musicofahs.com\/news\/?p=1212"},"modified":"2021-08-25T13:56:50","modified_gmt":"2021-08-25T18:56:50","slug":"ahs-choir-nationally-featured","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/musicofahs.com\/news\/?p=1212","title":{"rendered":"AHS Choir Nationally Featured"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Congratulations to Sandra Chandler and the Alexander Choral department for being featured in three major national publications with the possibility of adding even more to the list.\u00a0 Over the past year Mrs. Chandler has been working on a major project with the Smithsonian Institute through their Folkways initiative.\u00a0 She along with noted composer Tim Sharp arranged a piece of music to be featured in the collection.\u00a0 Mr. Daniel and his wife then used music composition software to digitize the arrangement and make it something that could be easily shared.\u00a0 The Mastery Choirs then learned and filmed a performance of the piece at the ruins at Sweetwater Park.\u00a0 Alexander student Isaac Breiding filmed and edited the video.
