Thank you to all who auditioned. The students on the attached list will be placed in the Symphonic (Advanced) Band for next year. All other students will be placed in the Concert (Intermediate) Band. Percussionist placement will be determined at a later date.

A full rehearsal schedule will be available on www.musicofahs.com. Continue to check the calendar on the website for updates including summer rehearsals. Please remember that the colorguard (including alternates) is expected to be at all band rehearsals during the fall and as many as possible during the summer. If you are going to be out of town during a summer rehearsal, please be sure to let us know that you will be absent. Our first rehearsal will be Tuesday, May 30 from 6-8.
Your $100 deposit for guard will be due by Tuesday, May 30 and it can also be paid anytime during school this week. Checks can be made payable to AHS Band, or online payments can be made at www.musicofahs.com/band/payments.html.

We have several dates coming up that involve current 8th-11th grade students who plan on participating in Alexander’s Band program. Some are for students who want to participate in marching band and some are for all students. We understand that there are various trips with the middle schools and we have tried to avoid too many conflicts. We will work with any issues on an individual basis. Several documents with information are available on the band information and forms page of this website.

If you would like to expedite the process for band sign-up night. Please print the following forms and complete them. On sign-up night, you will turn in these forms and a $100 deposit for marching band.
Brass/Woodwind Auditions: May 15 and 16 – 4:00 – 6:00
(ALL students participating in a band class at AHS during the 2017-2018 school year. This is for class and chair placement. Audition times will be assigned the week prior to the audition.)
Percussion Clinic: May 8-12, 15-18 – 4:00-6:00
Percussion Auditions: May 23 – 6:00
